At Nitya Gurukula, we maintain a structured and transparent policy for cancellations and refunds to ensure fairness for both clients and counsellors.
How cancellations work
We understand that plans change. However, counselling sessions require time commitment and preparation.
Cancellation guidelines:
  • Sessions must be cancelled at least 24 hours in advance
  • Cancellations within less than 24 hours may not be eligible for a refund
  • Missed sessions without prior notice will be treated as completed sessions
This ensures respect for both your time and the therapist’s schedule.
Refund policy
Refunds are conditional, not automatic
Refund eligibility depends on timing and the type of service booked.
You may be eligible for a refund if:
  • You cancel within the allowed time frame (24+ hours before session)
  • A session is cancelled from our side due to unavoidable reasons
  • Duplicate or incorrect payment was made
Refunds are not applicable if:
  • The session has already been completed
  • Cancellation is made less than 24 hours before the session
  • You fail to attend the session without notice
Rescheduling policy
Flexibility with structure
Instead of cancelling, we recommend rescheduling whenever possible.
  • Sessions can be rescheduled if requested in advance
  • Rescheduling is subject to therapist availability
  • Last-minute reschedule requests may not be accommodated
Processing of refunds
If your refund request is approved:
  • Refunds are processed within 5–10 business days
  • The amount will be credited back via the original payment method
  • Processing time may vary depending on your bank or payment provider
Online session policies
For online counselling sessions:
  • Ensure a stable internet connection before the session
  • Technical issues from the client side may not qualify for refunds
  • If disruption occurs from our side, appropriate rescheduling or refund will be provided
Exceptions and special cases
We evaluate exceptional situations on a case-by-case basis.
Examples may include:
  • Medical emergencies
  • Unavoidable personal circumstances
  • Technical failures from our side
Final decisions will be made based on fairness and practical constraints.
